CAPE TO NAMQUA
BERGRIVIER
The region includes the towns of Aurora, Eendekuil, Goedverwacht, Piketberg, Porterville, Redelinghuys, Velddrif
(including Dwarskersbos) and Wittewaters.The Bergrivier sub-region is named after one of the major rivers of the
Western Cape. The Berg River starts in the Franschhoek Mountains and eventually flows into the Atlantic Ocean at
Velddrif. Explore Bergrivier, a colourful and diverse destination with bird watching, hiking and angling, and experience the
perfect combination of nature and tranquillity!
CEDERBERG
The region includes the towns of Citrusdal, Clanwilliam, Elands Bay, Graafwater, Lamberts Bay, Leipoldtville and
Wupperthal. The region offers a rich natural heritage, fruit-filled valleys and towering mountains. The beautiful Olifants
River Valley, with its snaking irrigation canals, sustains a large citrus industry which is a hive of activity during winter
harvest time. This is also Rooibos Tea country and the only place in the world where this healthy beverage naturally
grown.
NAMAQUALAND
Namaqualand is famous for flowers in flower season, hiking in the Gifberg, coastal fishing and crayfish diving, old copper
mine smokestack in Okiep, abundance of spring flowers ±4 000 species and the Namaqua National Park.
