18.3 WATERBERG CAMP
The Waterberg Plateau is one of the most spectacular features of the northern
region. Towering some 200 metres above the surrounding landscape, the
plateau with its sheer cliffs and fascinating rock formations is the habitat and
breeding ground of several rare game species. The plateau can be explored on
foot, or by vehicle on guided game-viewing excursions offered by tour guides.
Accommodation comprises fully equipped luxury bungalows, standard bunga-
lows with bath and/or shower with BBQ facilities and camping site. Conferenc-
ing facilities available.
Das Waterbergplateau ist wohl das spektakulärste Merkmal der nördlichen
Region Namibias. 200 Meter steigen die senkrechten Wände des Waterbergs
an, bieten faszinierende Gesteinsformationen. Das Plateau, welches zu Fuss
oder auf geführten Fahrten erforscht werden kann, ist Habitat für verschiedene
seltene Wildarten. Unterkunft ist in voll eingerichteten Luxusbungalows, Stan-
dardbungalows mit Badezimmer und Grillplatz oder auf dem Campingplatz.
